Desert Rose
You found me, in a desert place
With cords of love you encircled me
You found me, in the howling wastes
Covered me, with kisses
My house was built, on barren soil
I found no lasting comfort there
The walls too thin, too weak to stand
Against the ever gathering storm
And I will never know how much
Your heart was longing for me
Never understand the price
You paid for me
We played in pools, of crystal blue
Your laughter like creations song
The trees bow down for joy of us
You bathe me in delightfulness
The sense of you brings me to tears
Amazing love, poured over me
Like summer rain on thirsty ground
Like blossom on a crown of thorn
And I will always hear your voice
Like streams of living water
Ringing clear like summer bells
My joy and my treasure
